New Storage Giant Site in Nottingham on the Way
We are delighted to have agreed our plans to open our next storage facility – having signed up to open new premises at a £30m mixed-use scheme in Nottingham.
The state-of-the-art self-storage facility will be sited in the 53,000 sq ft trade park at Teal Park off the Cowlick Loop Road, in Netherfield. Construction is expected to take around nine months, and then we will begin the fit-out.
Our MD, Simon Williams, said: “We are very pleased to be adding another key self storage site to our ever-expanding portfolio. The Nottingham site dovetails nicely with our existing sites, across the Midlands, the M4 corridor and in Wales.
The pandemic has, of course, impacted business across the UK and beyond, and ours is no exception. However, we have continued to operate smoothly throughout, and at capacity across several of our sites. While we have had to pause some of our expansion plans, we have remained sharply focussed upon careful growth as a company. We opened our mixed-use site in Brislington, Bristol, in June, with a socially distanced ribbon-cutting ceremony. And we have a stable of other sites which will come onstream for Storage Giant shortly – in Kingswinford, Great Witney, Oldbury, Bridgend, Kidderminster and Willenhall.
With sites across England and Wales Storage Giant is now the largest private self-storage provider in Wales and the second largest private operator in the UK, also supporting many SMEs and start-ups under its roof.
Tool Station, Screwfix and Howdens have all been secured to move into new units at the Nottingham site too, creating a busy mixed-use site.
