Our New Storage Giant Retail Park and Self-Storage Facility at Bristol Brislington is Now Open!
We were pleased to welcome the Lord Mayor of Bristol, Councillor Jos Clark, accompanied by Councillor for Brislington East, Tony Carey, to cut the ribbon at our new mixed-use retail park and 55,000+ sq ft self-storage facility in Bristol earlier this week.
Our new Bristol Storage facility is home to more than 800 self-storage rooms as well as more than 2,700 sq ft of flexi-office space, ideal for start-ups and small businesses. We were delighted to launch our latest and 10th self-storage facility, which adds to the further seven sites in our pipeline. We expect to have at least 20 store locations secured by 2021 and we have recently completed expansions of existing key sites at Swansea, Telford and Cannock.
Our CEO and founder, Simon Williams, said: “We are very excited to cut the ribbon on this flagship development. Not only is this another achievement for Storage Giant, it is, importantly, a sign that the local economy is resilient in the face of recent hardships, and that firms in Bristol are continuing to invest and to grow. The fact that big brands like Starbucks and Greggs have already moved into the Storage Giant retail park illustrates that they are making a continued commitment to the local economy and to providing jobs in the region.
He added: “We are particularly proud to offer office space, as we do across all of our Storage Giant facilities, to SMEs and to companies that want to set up a satellite offices. SMEs are the lifeblood of the UK economy and we are always pleased to see so many of them grow and prosper under our roof. It is likely that this protracted period of lockdown has prompted many would-be entrepreneurs to resolve to make their business ideas a reality. We have, over the past month, for example, seen a number of sporting professionals turn their hand to setting up training gyms in some of our facilities. We expect to see more innovative new businesses set up at this new site in Brislington too.”
